The Arenal Volcano tour starts with a drive to the western side of the volcano, which is the one that has been mostly affected by the initial activity since 1968. Once there, you will embark on a very informative hike on the Park trail´s. We have Las Coladas trail which traverses the rainforest and crosses over a large lava flow from 1992 where we can observe all the impact of the past eruptions, or Los Tucanes trail which goes mostly thru the recovered forest of the past activity and where we can see more wildlife.
It is possible to observe a great variety of plants, wildlife and magnificent lava rock formations. Once on the top of the lava flow you will have a beautiful view of the Arenal Lake. The hike ends up at a view point, where if the weather allows you will see the volcano very close and feel like it is possible to reach with your hands. During the tour, our experienced guides will provide interesting and educational information regarding the history of the majestic mountain and the Arenal Volcano National Park.

The Arenal Hanging Bridges tour takes place on a 600 acre reserve filled with lush vegetation and a variety of birds and animals which your experienced guide will help you spot. The trail itself is 1.9 miles (3.1 km) in length, crossing nine fixed bridges and 6 suspension bridges and is laid out at a maximum grade of 7 degrees so that anyone can walk it. This is the most popular tour around and the best to explore the rain forest and to try to see wild life on it’s natural environment such as monkeys, lizards, frogs, birds and much more.

This is the perfect tour to discover the majestic surroundings of the Arenal Volcano area. The majority of the journey is through private property which will take you through primary and secondary rainforests, as well as lovely cattle farms; all the while giving you incredible views of the mighty Arenal Volcano. The horseback ride takes approximately 2 hours, and begins at the base of the mountain. From there, you will begin to go uphill through secondary rainforests and cattle farms before crossing into the area of primary rainforest and on to one of the best observation decks of the Arenal Volcano. After a short break to enjoy these amazing views, we will saddle back up to ride down the mountain.

Our tour is the only one which goes trough a private farm, and we take care of our horses with blood samples every year. We feed them with grass and grain. We also rotate the horses, so we do not use the same horses in the afternoon and morning rides, horseback riding tours are the most common in La Fortuna.
This is a combination of horseback riding and hiking in this beautiful scenery. These horses are trained to take you all the way up to the waterfall trough green areas of pastures, forest and high hills. The views of San Carlos valleys and the Tropical Forest that surround the waterfall are spectacular. At the end of the road will let the horses and will walk dawn trough a trail all the way to the base of the waterfall, which is 65 mts. high. This fantastic area is very quiet and special to relax and enjoy a good time. Here you can always swim in its natural pool On the way back we Hill come trough a privet farm of 400 hectares, where will be able to see Toucan, oriels, a large variety of flora and fauna we will also able to see one of the larges trees in the area.

We start at near by La Fortuna, after a little explanation of how to drive, the security rules and a driving practice, we will go to a private farm, through a beautiful scenario of nature, trees, birds and animals, we will enjoy all the way to the a very high point on the base of the volcano, there you can see the all area of the Arenal and of course the Majestic Arenal Volcano, there we will have a drinks and after a break we are all set for the rest of the adventure. We will drive to the Arenal River going through La Guaria town, once at the river you can tale a shower rest for a while and come back to the restaurant to have a delicious lunch or dinner.

Pick up and drop off at your hotel (La Fortuna – Arenal area only). A 30 minute 4×4 drive will bring all clients to the ranch house. We will give you a safety talk, put your gear on, and then embark on a short trek to the top of the first waterfall where we start our descent. There are 4 rappels ranging in height from 165 feet to 45 feet, and all are guaranteed to get your blood moving! We have constructed trails that lead you from waterfall to waterfall through the canyon, it’s like being in a national park. Then a short trek out of the canyon will lead you back to the truck and back to our base for lunch in view of the famous Volcan Arenal. We did the very 1st descent into this canyon so this is truly an once in a lifetime Costa Rican Rainforest experience!

The Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge is considered one of the richest sites in the continent for the observation of birds. Beside an abundance of birds, Caño Negro is also refuge of many other animals like: sloths, three types of monkeys, caimans, lizards, bats, and anative flora of the wet land.
Our tour to this beautiful region, leaves from La Fortuna, driving for about an hour and a half until Los Chiles, which is a rustic town that meets to only five kilometers of the border of Nicaragua, it is here where we take the boat down to Río Frío for about three hours. From the beginning of the trip, our professional guide will explain each one of the plantations that we will see on the way, as well as the flora and fauna of the region.

For the ultimate adrenaline rush, try Sky Trek. You will ride an open-air gondola from the ground tothe heights where you'll be dropped off at an observation deck for fantastic views of the volcano and land below. From the observation deck, return to the ground below by riding down on a circuit of zip lines stretching across canyons and between treetops.
Zipping along nearly two miles (three kilometers) of cables, you will see the rain forest as well as get a panoramic view of the volcano and lake from a whole new perspective. There are currently ten zip line cables and they range in height from 30 meters to 200 meters and in length from 200 meters to 750 meters.

From the trailhead you will hike approximately 10 minutes before reaching this majestic waterfall where you can swim or just enjoy it’s beauty. We have a delicious lunch waiting for us at Arenal Vida Campesina, a small farm where we will have the chance of sharing with a local family during or meal time. Following lunch you’ll have the opportunity to rest until 2:30 pm before embarking on the volcano hike. We will choose one of several trails on all the trails you will see a wide variety of plants and wildlife. As you walk on the trail to get to the cold lava flow. Once on the top of the lava flow you will have a beautiful view of the Arenal Lake. The hike ends up at a view point, where if the weather allows, you will be able to see the Volcano.
